HGV Class 1 Driver (Night Shift) / Workshop Assistant

We currently have an exciting position as an HGV Class 1 Driver (Collection and Delivery) to work night shift in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Birtley. As an HGV Class 1 Driver, we can offer you:

• An hourly rate of up to £13.56 (depending on your Class 1 driving experience)

The HGV Class 1 Driver / Workshop Assistant responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• This is a duel role - Collection / delivery of vehicles from / to customers within Birtley and the surrounding area.
• Road testing of vehicles.
• Steam cleaning Trucks.
• Collection of parts from other depots.
• General Workshop duties when not driving.

Working Tuesday to Friday, 7pm – 7am.

Who are we looking for as our HGV Class 1 Driver / Workshop Assistant:

• You must hold a valid UK Class 1 licence (ideally clean).
• Be a customer focused individual with excellent communication skills.
• Any mechanical / workshop knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
• PC Literate.
